Mine burned out...water got inside HD's "sealed" housing and shorted out the 4 LEDs that are on the board. I went to Custom Dynamics and purchased a Knight Riderz 12 led bar, opened up my housing and replaced the burned out board.

The Harley run/brake tri-bar is LED. I was able to install it while the bike was resting on the kick stand.

The one from Harley is not very bright. I am thinking about adding more LEDs inside of the housing.

Check out the Custom Dynamics "Knight Riderz" 12 led bar
much brighter than stock and 1 stick fits in very easily. I used the one with the flasher built in to get some extra attention.
http://www.customdynamics.com/knight..._light_bar.htm

* 2 bolts and the electrical plug and the unit comes off the bike.
* Use a hair dryer or heat gun and slowly work the lens off the unit
* Remove old board, use dremmel tool or file to remove existing tabs
* I glued tin foil into the housing as a reflector
* Double sided tape the Knight Riderz and rewire
* Close up unit and reinstall

I've got photo's somewhere from when I did this, if your interested I can post them.

I was going to try this....http://www.radiantz.com/cart/index1.html?c34.html&1
Does not have the flash function and a little more expensive but it has 55 leds....
was planning on just adding to the back of the housing (facing the lens) and just splicing the wires to the existing wires...just need to get it a part and measure to see if it will fit.

Winter project....

The Harley version is LED, an easy install, works as intended, and otherwise looks stock.
