does that change when the low fuel light comes on? i like the space gain, would make cleaning the top of the engine lots easier...

I had one on my Fat Boy. I'm not sure about the Touring bikes though. It does make it easier to clean the heads.

I watched Avatar a couple weekends ago. Funny comment.

Under the heading of "Never to old to learn"......I read your description before scrolling down to the photos & thought "what a crappy idea"! Then.......I scrolled down. Gotta admit, it makes a big difference! Really opens up the view of the motor! I always enjoy seein' someone make a difference on their own! Always more rewarding than buyin' a Kurykrappen part!

Looks good, should make cleaning a lot easier.

You did not ask for input, but I suggest losing the hose clamp. That is like a black eye. Might be able to find some type of cover for it at the auto parts store.

Looks good, I like the idea, I should, I build them.

1 suggestion though, using a flat bar stresses the front tank mounts by pushing them out, eventually the tank mount will crack. The lift bar needs to be stepped so the tank mount lines up just like it did to the original mount.

Looks good.

Don't mean/intend to hijack this but one question......how difficult was it to lift/rotate the tank up? Was it just a matter of undoing the front bolts and rotating the front up?
