At times, after riding on the road for a while, as I'm coming to a stop and pull the clutch in, the idle drops to about 800 rpms. After I come to a complete stop, after a second, the idle comes up to normal. Anyone have any ideas. Possible twitchy throttle sensor? Almost seems as if the ECM forgets it's supposed to idle.
I used to have teh same issue, after i cleaned out the Idle Air Controller it went away. Just remove the air cleaner and spray some carb/choke cleaner into the IAC orifice, clean the gunk out, and you'll be good as new.

Mine did this quite often and would often stall completely when stock & with the vance & hines fuel pack. Sence installing PCV w/Auto tune it has'nt been a problem. (??)
I think it sounds better around 900 rpm. Mine idles at 1000 and I think about lowering it sometimes.
Unless 96" are different than my 88 was, the recommended idle speed for Twin Cams is 950 to 1050. Potential top-end valve train damage can occur if the idle is set too low (oil pressure, I believe is the culprit). That's what I have been told. Fact is TC's don't lope like Shovels did...
