yea i installed some of those chrome wind deflectors on my rkcustom that attach to your forks. what do you guys think of em? do they work? like the looks? im not to impressed with the look but im heading north this weekend so i wanted to try some new things to break the wind, also im installing a new windshield on tomorrow. the low smoked one. i know it will not be right below my line of sight but surely it will help? have a good one!

 

i use em in the winter, and take them off in the summer. they do the job, but i like the looks without them.

 

I had them on my bike for 2 months,found they moved the bike alot on a breezy day or when passed by cars up on the interstate,removed them last weekend and found the ride to be nicer without them. I'm sure once the cold fall air arrives i'll put them back on for some added wind protection

 

I run them on my custom in cooler weather and take them off once it gets warm.

 

You mean like the ones in my picture? I just leave them on all the time because I am lazy

 

My eye level is about 6 inches above the top of the windshield and I used to get head buffeting. Installed the chrome lowers and now it's smoooooooth sailing.

 

Has anyone installed these on a Road Glide?

 

I have 'em on my RK Custom -- they make a huge difference in the helmet buffeting at super-slab speeds. I took them (and the screen) off while in Sturgis, and missed them both during the rides down to Rushmore & Custer State Park. I'm even getting used to the look. They don't make any difference with the screen off, though. I'm also kind of lazy -- they stay on most of the time.

 

I use them in the winter only. They really help. I found in the warmer weather that it seems to hot with them.

 

If I didnt have them, I would have pitched my windscreen in the trash.

Way too much head buffeting without 'em. Yes they are ugly, but in this one case, I will trade off fashion for function
