Great thread Guy!!1 These are the threads i live for!

On a side note..Was talking to a buddy about my motor. Its making 137/140 now and i really love it. But....Its kind of a waste on a street bike. I can't push it to its potential on the street at all...not even close.....On a track hell yes. He asked what i would build the next time.....I said 107! Seems to be a really good sized street motor that work really well on the street and can be used fully.

Good luck with the new bike and build and keep us posted.

Hey Guy, Have you decided on a pipe yet? Also are you going to leave the stock gearing alone or go with a different sprocket? Thanks for the pic's Guy. I always enjoy your post!

Great write up and pics Guy. Not surprised you didn't stay with the 103". Question about the Baisley spring......how much more oil pressure can you expect?

Yep, Fuelmoto Headpipe and Jackpot Dyno Tuned Slip-ons. Gearing will remian stock, they have raised the numerical value from the 07s that were geared way to tall.

The LMR-2 spring will typically give you about 10-20% higher pressure.

It has to be driving you crazy not having a bike to ride? Hopefully the parts will come soon!

Looking good Dalton. That will be one smooth ride when you get it fired up.

Nice Dalton, the $ drain begins. Good write up,was wondering why you and other engine junkies are going with the FM headpipe? I normally use the Fatcat but am open to ther ideas, doing my slo motion Dyna S&S 106 build, have the bb kit on already, heads, cam, and exhaust next, wondering if FM headpipe with another can is the way to go vs D&D.

The 107 is up and running, Finished it early Sat morning, been riding the hell out of it as the weather here in northern Ohio is perfect! I will post the rest of the build later today and some impressions. One question I can answer though about the exhaust, I wanted to stay with the dual look and didn't want too loud of pipe, so the Fuelmoto setup was perfect and with the original 2-1-2 header style, I am not giving up much if anything to the fatcat. This is one smooth engine. My preferences for this build are more based on money spent, changes in riding style and just trying a few things that are different.

I didn't even think to relieve the oil drain holes in the rocker supports on my 107" build.

Wonder if we could get a sticky going for "things to do but not thought about when building an engine" thread?

Should I tear into my motor and relieve those drain holes?

Nice writeup, Guy!
