I've been looking at these bars. I know they give about 2.5" pullback, what about height? 2-3" above stock would be perfect for me. I've seen the 577's. They're a little too high.

Still protected from fairing.
I rerouted the clutch cable along the bars were the stock wiring ran, no cable replacement needed. Tried several positions in the fairing, no go for me. (aftermarket braided might be shorter then stock?)

Can NOT see past my mirrors, bars all the way up against the fairing. Maybe if you rotate them down you could? Mirror replacement will be the next purchase!

LOVE the bars, no back pain from these at all! 110% upgrade from stock, and they are meaty is diameter over stock!

Expect to do some wiring, these base will only work with concealed wiring.

Took me 4 hrs for the complete swap.

What he said....I did end up with bar mounted mirrors, I didn't have too though.
and wind protection is still fine, just a little more wind on the hands (not much more).

I have the 577's on my 08 SG and I love them. I'm about 5'9" and the feel and handling were really improved over the stock bars. I'm almost wondering what it would have been to go the 14" bars. I would try and find somebody with the 577's and then sit on the bike before you make the move. Pullback on the 577's is only about 1/2 inch more than stock but bringing them up and back just a bit was enough. As you can see from the picture below, 5077 are not too high.

I have them on my '09 Street Glide and have them rolled back for more pullback. I can see out my mirrors just fine.
