they said the bump on the dyno was from fbw,,o7 wouldnt have a bump, pipes are heat treated or ceramic coated, wraped? i forget.we talked a bit about other options to this basic build they developed.Said its reliable riding every day bike ect.
oh and this is for parts only plus shipping included .
seems maybe a grand too much but also seems impressive for a 103
sorry if i intrrupted this thread but its an option anyway?

Get a proven combination of parts, but do them justice and have it properly tuned. A good tune can't fix a bad combination of parts but a poor tune can make a combination of good parts disappointing. There is no auto tuning device for timing which is half the battle in getting the most from your build.

Voodoo, thats may be close, I don't know what the cost of the acr and harness is. But otherwise you would come out cheaper doing a HQ107ST, keep stock TB, and buy RH TD's. Do the install yourself or search the forum for some of these guys that wrench like Dalton and Philm. Surely there is someone close to you that would be willing for a small fee. Just a quick figuring on the 107, td, acr and harness, extra $ for oil, shipping, bearing upgrade, and a starting map is about $3830. Then if you pay someone to do it should only be around $500 give or take makes it $4330. I think they are high. Plus the 107 will give you a little more than their 103.

DITTO -- I am HQs fan -- have had 3 hqs motors not one single problem in 50k miles (two 107's and 103) 107 is the best bang for $$$ -- I would also check out T-Man and Axtell, the S&S 106 is a good motor when packaged right. For tuning I went with TTS and AIM VPC 92 for the clutch
Each kit is a little different. A well prepped 103-107 will run just fine on the stock throttle body and injectors and the gains made by working them at this level are minimal. Headwork and exhaust will make the biggest difference in the builds if using comparable cams. Keep asking questions, and reading. You will eventually find what you will determine to be the right build for your riding style. Personally, I prefer HQ and have done many HQ builds, 95, 107 and 120's.

I went with the S&S 106 kit, Andrews 26 cams, gear to gear, PC, SE intake with Rienhart true duals. I love the torque and snap she has. The only issue I have had with the upgrade is that the starter isnt liking to turn it over when she is hot. I scrimped on the CRs. Not a smart thing to do.
