I wanted to see how it was with the stock pipes on the bike so i put them on .Well i did a 95 mile ride last night and the Screamin Eagle pipes are back on.The bike was a dog with stock pipes.Guess that was a lesson learned.
Ditch the sceamin eagle pipes and get a good set of aftermarket ones. Then see what you think.
Screaming eagle USED to have some pretty decent pipes. Not so much anymore. Aftermarket companies have them beat hands down.
I just took the baffles out of my 4" Bassani's and although my mileage is suffering I love the way it sounds!!!! What I plan to do is cut off all but the end of the baffles just so they appear to be installed. Should give me a tad bit more back pressure but hoping to maintain most of the throaty rumble that a Harley SHOULD sound like!!!!!

Good for you! If you had both sets, cheap lesson too! Some of those SE pipes have a nice, low rumble. Congrats!!
I have the old style one piece slash-cut screamin eagle pipes and i think there louder and deeper sounding then the newer ones IT defently made a big difference.
