Default 06 strret glide detachable tour pak question??

i currently have a 06 street glide with the hardware for the detachable sissybar. I am looking to purchase a used hd tour pak that has the detachable bracket for an 02 road king. Will this work on my bike with new studs or more? Or do i need a whole new bracket. Im trying avoid using those V shaped brackets on the back because i have the saddlebag filler panels. any ideas?

I have the detachable tourpack on my 06 street glide . I put a hidden antenna in the fairing and eliminated the whip antenna, then the v brackets you are talking about mount through the two holes in the saddle bag fillers that you refer to. I will try to post some pictures as soon as I can. Hope this helps a little.

You will have to get the kit for the detachable tourpak, it mounts forward of your sissybar brackets. I think maybe one set of yours will match and you will have to add another pair forward farther, I can't remember but I know just the sissybar brackets won't work alone.

wow! thanks guys, you have definitly helped me get a better idea of what i need to do. What i want to know now is does harley make hardware or bracket that i can use that does not include using those v shaped brackets, i understand they will work but im not happy how they look when the tour pak isnt on the bike. So .............ya im kinda lost. I want to be able to continue to use my sissybar but would also like to utilize a detachable tour pak without having to use those "v" shaped brackets. There has to be something out there, i cant be the only one not happy about those brackets sticking out the back! hhaa
