I believe the deal with biker build off and American Chopper is that the show tried to create drama. While motorcyclist would have watched just for the content, that is not enough audience for a major network. The couch potatoes need the "reality show drama" to tune in week after week, since the majority do not ride they most be motivated by something else.
A couple of years ago there was this show on about a bike build shop. It was like a sitcom. Old long hair owner and his wife plus the hot receptionist and pratical jokes all over the place. What was the name of that show? It was hillarious
I for one,would like to see a show like someone suggested here building a bike from start to finish.A bagger would be nice.I think the long fork phase is done.I dont think Harleys will ever be done.I hope not, I have 17,000 in mine.

Forget the name of the show but it sounds like it was Rick Fairless from Strokers Dallas...

That was Rick Fairless from Strokers in Dallas. Show was pretty close to what goes on in at Stroker's Ice House.
