Looking to install a 21" front rim on my dresser. Does anyone know what rim you need to order and what spacers do you use. Do you order the 21x3.5 for a Dyna? I still want to run dual disk. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Why? You can easily put an 18 on and not change your ride characteristics. Going to a 21 requires a lot of changes.

 

Give the guys at Hog Pro a call and let the experts tell you the pro/cons and what you need. Some of the guys on the forum will offer their first hand experience......I rode a 21" and an 18" back to back and much prefered the 18" for ride and handling. But the stock 16" rides great as well and if it were not for the much improved looks that you get from upsizing I would buy neither of these options as the 16" handles superb

 

I suggest you carefully think this over. I think you will find it a big waste of money in a short time.

 

So a 18 will fit with no problems, or changes? Who makes a nice 18 inch rim?

 

You're going to be stopping a lot of weight with such a small tire. 70% of your breaking force is on the front and the dual disks will lock the front pretty easy with a 16"

 

swomack, I do not think it is easy to "lock" up a 16" on my SG, not sure what you are riding but for me the road surface would have to very poor to coax a lock up on my bike

 

I put Performance Machine Vaders 18x3.5 both front and back and the ride is much improved over the 16's (the height remains exactly the same) and also feels lighter when you turn the handlebars. For the ultimate finishing touch go with PM calipers (i think that brakes should be done before the wheels for a safety issue).

They're widening a road where I live and I had a truck with guy on the damn phone pull right out in front of me. I slid the front wheel about eight feet. I ride an '06 Ultra and was two up at the time. Road surface was fresh asphalt.

 

Pimpin' aint easy, on an ULTRA....with a 21!
