CALIPERS AND GOOD DISCS !

 

The 2007 Screamin Eagle Road King Custom at my local dealership has 18" on the front (and I assume on the back); it is the mod I would like to make next on my EG since you get to see the wheel and the tire profile looks good to my eye.

Whole lot of confused people on this post! The 21 fits fine without any modification. It handles great as well. Use a 120/70-21 with a matching radial rear tire on the back. The front tire is softer for better grip and has plenty of rubber on the road for braking. I never locked up my front end and with a PM 13"/6 pistion caliper, it brakes very well. Don't listen the guys who don't have a 21 on the front. I speak from experiance. Go with the 21 and you will be happy.

 

I bet the confusion comes from the fact that most 21" fronts are skinny tire/wheel combos.

You are speaking of keeping the FL front tire width, just going to a larger diameter wheel correct?

 

Yes, most of the 21" front wheels that the guys are used to seeing are the 21x2.15 with a 90/90-21 tire. The proper set up for a bagger is a 21x3.5 (or 3.25) with the 120/70-21 tire.
