Default Air pressure ??

So knowing that all air gauges are different and just getting new Dunlop Elite 3 installed I put MY gauge on to see what the dealer put in them (30 lbs) front and rear by MY gauge. I used to run 38 front and 40 rear per the Harley manuel for Dunlop 402 stockers.I,m 300 lbs and my two side boxes are full no rear box. This is on a 2000 FLHT with wire spoked wheels and tubes. So what are you guys running in your Elite 3 ????

I dont have elite 3's yet but .........
I'd run the same pressure the manual said UNLESS the tire said otherwise....
If you hit a large pot hole with 30 PSI I think your rim will be toast and worse yet its good solid pressure that may save your butt when you hit this hole one day unexpectedly and you will need that pressure to not bottom out the tire to the rim.
Just my opinion.

30 is way to low. I run what the manual says for mine.

Don't go by whats on the tire, go by the manual. The tire pressure stamped on the tire is the MAX PSI for the tire. People do this on cars and trucks too, they go by whats on the tire and that is completely wrong. I would also have my foot up that dealers *** for only putting 30 lbs. in your tires.

I out in what the manual says, 36 front and 40 rear. So far after 5000 miles the tires still look and ride great.
