what length of rear shock do I need for a 2009 cvo roadglide? getting ready to order, still trying to decide on which ones to purchase.

I think the CVO is lowered. I believe stock RG's and other touring bikes except Street Glides have 13" shocks I'm pretty sure about the stock shock length of 13, but not sure about the CVO or Street Glide, which I think might be 12" or 12.5". You can go onto Progressive's website and I think they have a chart with this information.

Which shocks and what length did you finally go with? Happy? Any suggestions or recommendations? Going through the same process

never did switch shocks, ended up running a lot more air pressure and left them alone, after talking to a lot of people not sure it is worth the switch.

for regular 09 roadglides i know their shocks are an inch taller than the streetglides. i installed a pair of 09 roadglide shocks on my 08 streetglide and the increased rear suspension travel really made my bike much more comfortable to ride. i do believe like jcanrun that the cvo has taller shocks than the regular roadglide. quite a coincidence, because jcanrun is my friend in california who i got the roadglide shocks from.

Not sure about the 09's but I beleive the 2010/11 CVO's are running these.

Premium Ride hand-adjustable low touring shock. P/N 54680-10

The parts catalog says lowers seat height 3/4 of an inch. So the shocks are probably 12". I picked up a set on e-bay for a very good price and have them on my Road King and so far the ride is good, the height is good and I can adjust from one up to two up in seconds with out a pump. Also, they have never bottomed out.
