twin cam motors are junk

Actually, had you joined HDF at around say 14,000 miles on the odo you would have known what possible upgrades to consider. That makes it YOUR failure, not the union workers!
Seriously tho, these engines were built to be rebuilt as often as you like. I can tear my bike down on the side of the road, with just a handful of common tools. If some one at the factory screwed up, I am only too glad to correct any issues. Unless you REALLY abuse them, they will last long enough for yer grand kids to ride.
If you want something that never breaks, maybe you should become more mechanically inclined, and build one in your garage. That's how Harley and Davidson did it...

ive seen riders who treat thier bikes like total **** everytime they ride they ride like they are trying to kill thier bikes always reving the motor at stops, always getting on the throttle hard and redlining thru every gear and when their bike breaks they take no responseability for thier poor choices in the way they rode and maintained thier bikes!!!!!

I purchased a 2005 Electraglide standard new, I've keep it serviced and have ridden it with respect. NOW at 43,000 miles it starts knocking, so it needs cam bearings and possibly lifters valves and who know what else. As much as they cost you'd think they would go at least 100,000 mi. but I guess the UNION wants them to fail so they can build more new ones. When it's fixed I'm selling and purchasing an EVO.
