Yea, be prepared to wait at least 3-4 weeks. I ordered the Black set, and it took about a month before they arrived. I know it is hard to trust anyone on the nets, but you will LOVE this pipe and the power/"noise" you get from them. My wife has a huge grin each time she gets off her bike, and it is not from the vibrations if you know what I mean . She works at Grand Canyon HD and all the guys out there were drooling over her pipes and the tone and how it rode! Like Shawn told me "they are worth the wait!"

The black ones take longer just so everyone knows. D&D has quite a backlog due to the amount of their products that we have sold. I ordered a chrome pipe 2 weeks ago and it is due 3 weeks to the day that it was ordered. IMO these exhausts are well worth the wait. Dr. V-Twin gets the fastest service available from D&D and will never sell any products that he would not put on his own bike. Don't let the wait put you off.

Does the carrying tab in the pipe go over or under the tranny tab?

I disagree with this, I truly believe that there are other systems that equal or surpass D&D as I don't like the looks or sound of the D&D and chose to run another mfg.

Exhausts are like seats, everyone's going to have a different preference. I really prefer the 2:1 look and sound over the look and sound of duals. I realize I'm in the vast minority with this opinion.

What is your preference? I agree exhaust is very subjective, what some like, others won't but the extra power that the fatcat puts out usually knocks all others on their ***. We did a compaison on stock bikes with a fatcat and a Bassani road rage. The were exactly the same engine wise and the fatcat had an extra 4 ft lbs of torque with no mods at all.

When choosing exhaust we must consider styling, fitment, sound, and performance and for each person what is important will vary. The vast majority of our customers love their fatcats as do all of us at the shop as we all run them. I have run numerous exhausts on my bike and the fatcat sound does it for me along with the performance. Granted I prefer the looks of a 2 into 2 pipe better, the extra power outweighs the looks anyday of the week. For all shopping for exhausts, remember the Doc can get you any brand you like at a great forum discount. PM for pricing and happy hunting. As far as the mounting on a bagger, they are both at the shop and I am at home still so I can't answer that right now. I should know off the top of my head but my CRS has really kicked in lately.

I run a 2-1 just not a D&D. I know they are very good, just not "un-matched".
