Harley dealer returns

Did you buy it for the right IPod? I ask for a couple reasons.
First, any product sold for a particular purchase must actually meet the purchase. It's called "Warranty of Merchantability," and exist is all states. Not suggesting you sure the dealer, but they may not have much choice on a refund if the item breaches the merchantability requirements.
The Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), adopted by most states, provides that courts may imply a warranty of merchantability when (1) the seller is the merchant of such goods, and (2) the buyer uses the goods for the ordinary purposes for which such goods are sold (§ 2-314). Thus, a buyer can sue a seller for breaching the implied warranty by selling goods unfit for their ordinary purpose.
Second, if the item is sold for a specific Ipod, and you purchased the wrong one then there may not be a warranty. A mistake on your part does not trigger the warranty.

I guess it would depend on what and why I'm returning something. If it's an iPod thingy, then I'm not going to worry about $20 (or so) cash or store credit. If it's a $500 something or other, and it doesn't fit, defective, etc, then I'm not taking store credit and they'll put it back on my credit/debit card or it's going to get uncomfortable in a heartbeat.

refund on a mustang seat
I had a dealer tell me to get a Mustang seat, $550 later I found out it sucked- they won't take it back and won't give me credit one day later. Niether will Mustang- I was willing to take a beating on the seat or exchange it for a $250 dollar seat and they turned me down on all the options.
This is the dealer where I bought the bike.
Sorry to say, I gave em one more chance and they failed on another transaction. They are history for me and for all my friends.
I will be a lot more cautious from now on and buy from JP cycle etc.
JP has a good return policy and wants your business.
A lot of dealers do not realize how their policies affect their total sales. They think they are being business smart by saying no to the customer over a return but they fail to realize that that customer they just lost will spend an average of $2500.00 each year on accessories, parts and service according to MIC.
