I am not sold on the new Rawhide ownership in Olathe, so began searching for other dealers nearby. When I hit the site for the Lawrence store, I found this:

Is this just recent, or has this store been gone for awhile now? Seems like they were around this past year.

They didn't close,, just moved it looks like.... doesn't it?
25 miles more or less, and to a bigger town. Just a good business decision I would guess.

not a big fan of the rawhide ether but they did put a new tire on the wifes scoot this past sunday

 

I think the Topeka store that they are referring folks to was already there, I think the Lawrence store is just gone now.

 

They closed Riverfront in January or February. I bought my 2010 EGC from Eli Geiger at Topeka HD in December. He told me in December they were closing it. He used to run that store. Not enough sales in Lawrence I guess. Topeka HD is a great dealership. I shopped around all the KC dealers and was not impressed, especially with the Worth stores. I would rather travel the 50 or 60 miles and be treated right than screwed over locally.

 

Their service rates have gone up to $90/hr...I want to contact some other dealers and see what they are charging. Then again, I may go with an Indie.

Does anyone know how to contact the guy that used to be with Gail (of Gail's HD)...I think his name is Dave...he has a service shop MO. I heard in the past that he does great work, but can't remember the name of his shop...

I think they were possibly married at one time...I'll ask my brother-in-law.
