Default My Picture of Installed Road Glide Chrome Windshield Trim

Installed it on my 07 RG this weekend. Very simple to do. Remove the stock black phillips screw's and replace with the stainless new set in the kit. Takes about 15-30 minutes to do. This just covers up/goes over the black rubber strip that is stock on the bottom. Here is a picture.

Steve- Nice looking Deuce! It is nice to be able to ride 2 different bikes that ride totally different. I usually ride the Deuce when it's just me and I am not hitting the interstate or long hiway rides. When it's me and my wife and or I am going on cruises longer then an hour, the Road Glide sure is nice!!! My insurance co. even gave me a discount of $78 per year when I added the 2nd bike. Go for it!

I did 180 miles on the Deuce yesterday. I can do it and I'm not a small guy (6'1" 240) though some tell me I am by H-D standards. Doing that many miles on the Deuce means breaking it up into 40 or 50 mile rides between stops.

The Deuce is really meant to "go to the shore". I'd love to have a King or a Glide to take on longer trips. I'd love the saddlebags, the little more relaxe riding position, the bigger seat (and one done for comfort more than looks), perhaps a backrest and the saddlebags as a permanent place to store stuff. 96ci out of the box and a windshield wouldn't suck..

Where are your pics?

What of the rest of the small parts in that sack? Did you not replace the well nuts with those aluminum things? Just curious........looks great on there, BTW.

I'd be interested in this too. It would seem if there were new nuts in the bag that you'd have to take the fairing off to replace them. Does the rubber strip stay under the chrome. Does it absolutely come in three pieces? And is the box small enough to fit in my saddlebag to take it home after purchase?

When I inspected the contents of the box, there are definitely 3 peices to the trim peice. It looked as if the ovoid aluminum "nuts" replaced the well nuts to me, but I don't think one would have to remove the fairing to install......unknown due to sealed bag. I would suspect that the box would fit in your saddlebag......if not, you could bungee it to your sissy bar or remove the contents from the box and carry in your saddlebag. Surely you can figure a way to get it home.

Maybe Bucs will give us an answer!

Looks like it won't cover up those nasty looking spots on the windshield were the decal gets rubbed through from contact with the fairing.

Nope. But when you get to the point of replacement of your HD unit, get a Clearview and it won't be an issue anymore.

I've replaced that Harley POS 3 times now under warranty for this problem, Clearview is next.

I forgot to ask; does this new trim piece work with the Clearview?
