Do I need a load equalizer?

Do I need a load equalizer?
I've got a BadAssLights tail light unit on my Road King, and I have incandescent bulbs in the front and rear turn signals. Everything works fine.
If I put LED bulbs in the rear turn signals, do I need a load equalizer? What if I go LED in the front and rear turn signals?

You most likely will need some sorts of load equalizer if your running all 4 signals with LED's. Some have got away with either fronts or backs LED's. But to be on the safe side its good to use them, getting them from the source of your LED's or from their recommendation would be the best way to go.
I know it seems counter productive to put in LED's then toss on big honking watt sucking resisters, but due to H-D making the tron package with the blinking ckt what it is, you just can't put a solid state LED type turn signal unit in your wiring.

1 set of LED signals, no load eq, two or more, yes you'll need one. The BAL doesn't require it though. I would recommend the Badlands Illuminator or of you do not want the run/brake/turn feature then a Badlands plug and play Eq. That is what I run and it can handle any amount of LEDs you throw at it. Also it is ceramic and has NO heat issues. With some Load Eqs you cannot run signals long or 4 ways at all because of heat and potential safety issues...
