It will look like crap, even if you take the other side off.

So I was risking my back and my tires when i rode my 09 RG to the dealer with no saddle bag bag on the right, half a bag on the left and the entire front fairing held on with duct tape after I laid it down after hitting a huge a$$ patch of ice this past February? I understand drag co-efficient and I sure was putting it to the test, looked like a full up test pilot recovering after a mid air collision.

Absolutely, positively, do not do this. Any attempt to ride this bike with only one saddlebag in place could result in injury and or death. It will also void your Harley warranty and would likely cause any future children to be born naked.

Hope this helps.
now thats funny.. just keep it below Mach1 and youll be fine

Anything over 276 mph will cause you to spin around so fast that you'll auger yourself into the ground. Keep it under 250 and you should be ok. Make sure you drive past your friends' houses with only the bag side showing or they'll talk about you. If you carry your lunch in the bag make sure you only use Lite Mayo on your sandwich.
