Default Badlander seat

I just picked up a barley used badlander seat for my 04 Road King for $100, i love the way it looks, my question is how comfortable is it on longer trips, say 300-500 miles, i would be riding single.

WOW!!! THAT'S A LOW PRICE!!!! hehehe I paid $140 for my used badlander! So far I love it. I have been on a 200 mile ride and find it very comfy!! I sit lower and further back on my Ultra. I only use it when the tourpak is off though.

Great around town seat. Not many guys like them for road trips. I run one around town and for Sunday rides. It's good for 100 miles. If I gas up and keep going it gets to be uncomfortable before reaching a second hundred. Everybody is different though. It might work for you, but I would be surprised.

I have the Badlander on my '06 EGC. It's fine for around town but if I planned on going 3300-500 miles, I sure wouldn't leave home with the Badlander seat on the bike.

I had a Badlander on my 2000 Road King and sold it with the bike since it wouldn't fit my new one. I just ordered another one last week from Chicago HD for my '08 Street Glide. I'm going to take it to a shop here in town and have them put Ostrich (faux) on it. When I had my other one done he put some extra padding in it before he covered it and it was so comfortable the my wife would even ride on it! After having it recovered I never even put the stock seat back on the Road King. I'm looking forward the same result with the new seat.

BS, I ran a Badlander for years on my Roak King, did many 700+ mile days on it. Hell I'am running a Brawler now and did an Iron Butt run on it and dozens of 600-800 mile Sundays.

Man, that's dedication and love for riding, lemme tell ya!

I checked out a Brawler for my RG, but hated it just riding it around the block. I can't imagine running that seat for anything longer than a quick trip to the store or something.

Sheesh. I salute ya. Great looking seat, just really hard on the back and nether regions, at least for me.

Congrats Doc. I just hope when ya get to 45 like me you ain't had ta have 2 back surgeries (like me). I'm good for about 3 tanks of gas (on the 5 gallon tank) on a good day and then I'm about toast. I bought a Brawler for my SG project which isn't complete yet so the verdict is still out on how far I'll be able to tolerate riding with it on the bike. It feels pretty good just sitting on it in the garage though and it SURE looks good!
