Default Credit where due...4 point docking hardware on '09/'10 models

Installation of the old style 4 point kit on both my '00 RK and '07 SG were real pita's. Not so with the new kit.

The engineers at the moco got this one right. 20 minutes, no busted knuckles, and doesn't look like total *** sticking out the back of the bike like the previous style with the tube frame did.

Two thumbs up on the new design.

I must agree, When I purchased my 09 Road King, to close the deal I got them to throw in a 4 point docking system and a riders back rest. Since then I have added a full tour pack on a quick release mount.

The system works very easily and I can go from nothing to sissy bar to tour pack almost as fast as I can change my mind.

The only flaw I have found is wear. The heavy tour pack wears the black bushing fairly quickly. The rotating locks support no weight. All the weight is supported on the 1/8" metal flange.

I just replaced the bushing on mine. The tour pack had about an inch of up and down movement at the back. I replaced the back connectors and it went to almost no movement.(almost)

The rotating lock need to have a little cam effect to really lock everything in tight. But the system is perfect for anything other than a heavy tour pack. I'll just keep a couple of spare sets of bushings handy.

One more plus is the fact the 4 Point Docking Mounts are not "Sticking Out" from the fender. When there is nothing attached, they are not as noticeable as the ones on the '08 and earlier models.

As for the Black Bushing, I wonder if there is a Polymer Bushing that can be used to replace the stock Harley ones?

I'm with you all,.. everything about the new system is perfect. Easy to install, easy on and off with accessories and not sticking out from your bike.
