What Screamin' Eagle Slip-On To Get?
#21
smitty, that pisses me off because i would have gotten those over the slash cut ones for sure! my bike is an 08 and all though it made complete sense to me that they would have no issues on non 09-10 bikes, the morons at the dealer told me otherwise.
My second question was-does fuel moto have a map for those pipes for an 08.
but you bring up a good point. in some cities (boston) they want an epa stamp. F them but ya never know when they might get a hair across their ars and start to actually enforce the issue. yet another reason why i went with the SEs.

Screw that if you get caught just play dumb and if they make you get it inspected just pop the stockers back on and then switch back. Chances are you will never be stopped.

hey bamorris, go to a busy harley shop on a saturday morning, and spend a few hours observing and listening to the bikes. it's a great way to determine what you want your bike to sound like. that way you're not buying something without hearing what you might see in the catalog. personally, i've had great results with the rinehart slip ons. but went with the vance & hines 2 into 1 pro pipe recently, cause the new 103 wanted to breathe deep.

I like the way these look with the streatched bags. I almost went with these on delivery of my new bike because of the 'tunability' factor. I just didn't like the 'trumpet' look from the side all that much with regular bags - but with your bags it's much less an issue. The removeable disc option does make these a good choice if you are gonna go Screamin Eagle

Yesterday I had some Cycle Shack slash downs installed and the out the door cost was only $332. They sound great, look great, and are loud but not to the point of obnoxious. I went with these because I will be replacing the entire exhaust down the road and didnt want to spend a fortune on slip ons. After seeing and hearing them I am very pleased, now I can afford a few other little things and wait until spring for complete replacement of the exhaust.

I just bought a 05 flhtc that has samson true dual slash cuts and they are quite loud . i would have liked them 10 or 15 years ago but today i enjoy hearing something other than loud exhaust noise . Leaving for wouk at 5am I have to try to idle out of town . I'm trying to find someone to trade for a set of screaming eagles if they will fit on the samson head pipes . s
