My clutch side has a hole but not the throttle side due to 09' TBW I think. I left it open.

If you really really have to. Try a rear fender rubber plug from dealer. I didn't want speaker pods on my ultra style trunk and filled the holes with rubber fender plugs.

If it bothers you that much go to Lowes and get some Chrome hole plugs. That should work for ya.

Looks like these:

I like mine, very comfortable, cheap and retro looking. As for the hole I have never had a desire to plug it.

I've got them on my RKC. I generally want to plug holes, but I never even thought about plugging those holes… maybe it's because they're so small.

What were the holes "specially designed" for before the TBW came on the scene in '08?

I have the chrome hole plugs that Texas Fat Boy suggested and they do look better than just a black hole. Use a little clear adhesive.

Joker Machine makes plugs for that exact application They are made for there Coke Bottle style grips but sure they would fit the harley ones just fine.No need for any silicone or adhesive they have a lip on them and pop right in.They only come in brushed finish but I had mine powder coated black, looked great with the white grips.Hope this helps
