Why worry about a little oil spillage? Whenever it's getting time to change motor oil, I do it the same day I plan on washing the bike. I'm a S100 user.

Agreed, P.O.S.

I stuff paper towels under the filter area in case I mess up or down or whatever. The funnel made a bigger mess than folded up newspaper, cardboard, or tinfoil.

I just let the oil go where it wants then wipe it down and spray PJ1 all over the area.

+ 1 on the cardboard. I bought one of those funnels and it made a big mess. went back to my cardboard.

Thumbs up

I use a plastic bottle that the mobil 1 syn gear lube comes in. Lay the bottle on the side and cut half off so it looks like a shovel. keep the cap end in tacked. I then got a piece of 3/8 in flexible tubing and heatshrunk the tubing to the bottle spout. Slide the "shovel" under filter after loosening the filter...it fits like a glove. unscrew the filter completley. You dont have to hold it, and the oil drains neatly out of your home made shovel and through the tube into whatever container you have. I've been doing this a while and the first few times, i dripped some oil, but after a few changes, i have little to no oil to clean up. My hold made tool hangs above my workbench. works like a charm for me.

Those of us that have HD oil coolers know why not to just let the oil go where it wants. I made this mistake once and only once. The oil cooler cover fills up with oil and wont drain out. Its to tight in there to clean up with a rag so the only way to completely get all the oil out is to take the cooler all apart and soak it up with a rag. Or just leave it all in there and let it blow out all over your bike while your riding
