I got to ride my bike today for some distance with my new Bassani on. The sound was pretty much exactly what I wanted. Had some noise to it taking off and quiet on the highway. I was very happy with that. I could rev it and make it loud, but could make it quiet and listen to the stereo. I have a 2010 96" A/C and PC V.
The one thing I'm not to sure about is the curly "Q" thingy pipe coming off the rear cylinder. I think it has the potential for a lot of heat in the summer. This pipe has about 10 miles on it.
I think the next ride will be to the dealer, get a dyno run, get a Fat Cat put on, get another dyno run and post them.
I've read so much about which pipe is better than that pipe with no proof or just butt comparisons, I'm finally going to see a direct comparison on my bike.

Gotta agree with Doc on this.
I run a Bassani on my '06 SG and a FatCat on my '09 RG.
Both motors are built.
The Bassani just growls all the way through the RPM range.
I'm still out to lunch on the FatCat.
It seems to have a "tinny" sound...which I don't care for.
Noticable differences in the fit of each pipe, too.
The FatCat seems to just fall in place.
The Bassani fit...well, it just sucks ***.
But DAMN...the Bassani sounds goooooood!

When I first heard the Road Rage on my buddies 09 Rocker C softail I was hooked. At idle, nothing compares. Very deep, bassy rumble. Like the traditonal sound of the olden days. Also my friends bike has no mods other than a V&H fuel pak and SE intake/filter. I'm still waiting for my Road Rage pipe as USPS seemed to have lost the main package with the pipe and muffler, and have only received the heat shields so far. Hope it gets here soon...

HAHAHAHA!!! The Bassani has a much better sound than the FatCat by far! I'm running a FatCat with the standard baffle and the sound is really "tinny". I don't really care for it, but I do like how it sounds at idle. The FatCat is just super loud...well mine is anyways.
