HCI, Daytona or ACC helmet?

HCI, Daytona or ACC helmet?
I'm sure this has been discussed before but wanted to throw it out there again for a fresh perspective. I'm wanting the lightest but still DOT rated half helmet available. I've been wearing a SHOEI ST. Cruz for several years now but on long rides that dude gets quite heavy on the head. 2.6 lbs to be exact. I've been researching and it appears that HCI, Daytona and ACC are the most popular choices for the lighter half helmets. Anyone care to share their experiences with any of these brands or others? Seems I've read good and bad about them all.
Thnx

Check out this helmet, I'm ordering one today. Love the fact that it also has a dark smoke flip down visor.

I have a ACC that I use almost 100% and really like it, even though they are recalling them due to testing problems with their DOT Specs Ill keep it and continue to use it. I also have a HCI Half helmet "100" series with the skull and malteze cross on it that I had before the ACC. The HCI is pretty light for a fiberglass helmet and also pretty small (sticks out about 1" around my head) For the price the HCI is a great deal, they can be found for about 49.00

I've got a carbon fiber HCI 100. It's just a shade bigger than my ACC was, but the straps are much better. Weight-wise, they felt about the same. On the 'Train with no windshield, the HCI rides back a little more than the ACC did (still, not much), and there's less wind noise through the straps.

Nice looking helmet. It definitely does not give the "mushroom" head look. I wonder what the weight is?

I'm waiting on my return call tag now for my ACC helmet.
I went into the HD dealer on Friday to look at new ones. HD makes a new lightweight helmet - $200. They didn't fit my head right. Large as too tight and X-Large fit funny. They are also made in CHINA.
They had some HCI helmets next to teh HD helmets which are also made in CHINA. The insides of both helmets looked almost identical. I tried on the 105 in a Large and it fit perfect. It was only $49.95.

HD actually puts their name on some nice looking helmets but all I have tried on gave the mushroom look on my head. I think I saw the lightweight you mentioned. Was super light for sure.
