Default FLHX Inner Fairing

Ordered a new painted inner fairing today for my streetglide, and would like to know what my stock fairing is worth.

Thanks

I see them go for around a hundred bills or so. The problem is, the shipping costs kill you and most likely the deal. I have one sitting in my garage right now, but unless I find a local person who wants it, I'll end up storing it for an extra.

I just paid $70 for a new one in the box. But most seem to go for $100

$75.00 to $100.00 would be fair...but the S+H is the deal killer! It cost me almost $50.00 for UPS Brown Truck from Pensacola, FL to Rapid City, SD because of size, not weight! Might want to just hang it on the wall or try to find somebody local that needs it.

Good luck...

Steve

Think about this. The average painter is charging $275-350 to paint an inner. A new one costs $450 if it's bought from a internet dealer or $550 from your Local dealer. The key is you want to sell it, so making any money on the deal would be a good thing. The unpainted faring doesn't look good on the wall. I honestly wouldn't pay anyone more than $50 + shipping for a take off inner. After all is said and done it's just not worth much.

$275-$350? You're getting screwed! My painter laid it on the line to me. 2 hrs prep and paint + materials. I paid $175 OTD, and it looks beautiful. I had 3 estimates, and no one was over $200, but I chose the guy I thought would be best.

Look at the color of my bike. It's a 3 step paint process to paint it. That red hot sunglow is a PITA to paint. And I don't live where you do.

Tri stage paint is harder to paint not everyone can do it. I was qouted $400 to paint a fat boy front fender, inner fairing + cap rear strut covers and my cycle visions tail light frame in cobalt blue wich is not tri stage
