It is "pinging".. And you need to be using 91 or greater octane...With all the ethanol and junk going into gas, I would venture to say that 91 isn't even 91 anymore, probably less.
Also, make sure when you accelerate you are not below 2000 RPM, lugging the engine will also cause pinging and damage.

I only run 93 octane and don't have any pinging.
I do have that clutch rattle when hotter. It quiets down when pulled but when I let it out you can hear it on the left side. Service writer didn't even listen to it just said it's normal. I am having the 10000 mi service on Wed and will have it documented then.
