Those Mustangs look pretty nice. I have a mustang seat and love it! That said...
I had the HD bras on my 2001 RG for many years with the velcro. They were awesome, never a wrinkle, never loosened, no flapping, just like they were painted on.
I did take great care in installing them and the velcro to make sure they were pulled taught and alligned perfectly.
Pretty nice if you have a black bike, aftyer 4 years I took em off and the surface of the bag lid was perfect. I had ridden through elements most would never try over those years and never even paid one minutes attention to those covers.
Just sayin'
How do the Mustangs attach?

 

I've been thinking about an alternative to a luggage rack, please explain the HD and the mustang bras, how they fasten. pro and cons. thanks

 

HD lid bra's use stick on velcro to hold em on under the lid...
Mustang has heavy straps on front and back side under the lid.....

They both look nice when on its more of how you feel about velcro...The HD ones run about 84 bucks and the Mustang run 99 bucks....

NP. The Mustangs slip over the lid. It's a tight fit but you want them that way. They are fairly thick so it does make the lid fit tighter.

 

Just recived e-mail from Mustang..Thier Lid Bra's are on backorder for one to two weeks but thats ok,Dont expect my C&C seat to be here till late nxt week.....

Not a bad price.....14 dollar differance when all said and done and on the bike.
