1990 flhtcu speakers
My shop manual doesn't show the color code legend for my radio. It is the factory 4 speaker radio. My rear speakers don't work. One of them pops and crackles but thats it.
The rear volume control and the radio controls work... just the speakers don't.
I don't know which wires run from the rear of the radio to the speakers. Also, my owners manual states that my bike has a 20w amp for the rear speakers. I am thinking that it might be the problem. In any case... does anybody know what color wires on the rear of the radio wiring harness is for the rear speakers.
Also.. If I can't figure it out would it be possible to pigtail off of the front speakers and run the wires to the rears? I know that it would change the impedance of the speakers but it might not be bad enough to cause any problems.

If you have an Ultra and you do hear sound (crackle) out of the rear speakers, you need to send the radio back to Radio Sound and have it repaired. This same thing happened to me with my 1989 Ultra I had. This fixed the problem. I then had great sound until I replaced the bike.
As for the Amp, it is inside the radio.
If it is not an Ultra that has factory rear speakers, I can't help you.
