Default Picked up my SG this morning *pics added*

Raining like crazy so the ride home was in the trailer. When I got home the weather started to break some so I got to bolt on a few parts I picked up today(smoked faring lowers, SE stage 1 intake(not on yet)and the deluxe saddlebag liners) so there was one other mod I wanted to do and that was to mod the stock seat. I have been modding seats for guys off the VTXOA board and Aero Forum plus have been doing some HD seats and other brands. I felt the seat sat me up to high on the bike and knew I could really lower myself and make the seat more comfortable but damn, I was suprised at the results. I took about 2 1/2"s of foam off the bottom and flattened the back of the riders seat up some and man the works like a charm now. I plan on taking some more out of it as it started to rain as I was doing the mod and didn't want to do it inside with both HD's sitting in there and getting the foam dust all over them. The new sitting position has taken away upper head buffeting from the low deflecter and the new lowers took away the bad updraft I was getting also. I'll try to take some pictures of the seat tomorrow. I hate my job after doing it for 20 years but being an upholsterer comes in handy from time to time. I only got to put about 60 miles on it today but tomorrow looks good so we are going riding.

Congrats Allen,

Welcome to the DARK SIDE. Can't wait to see the new SG. Give me a shout, just did 4200 miles on the Ultra in 9 days, and man that seat sucks. Want you to do something with it.

Here she is. Naturally the first thing I did was mod the seat  These seats actually mod better than the VTX seats do and they mod well. I was able to take about 3 1/2"s out of the bottom of the seat and flattened the back of the riders seat out where there is a nice back rest there now. The radio kicks butt, I wouldn't have ever thought I'd like it but I do. Spoke wheels instead of the cast wheels. I put about 186 miles on it today and loved everyone of them, the new pipes and PCIII will be here tuesday so I am sure I will love it even more so when I can here the rumbling.

I was really happy with the way the seat turned out. The stock SG seat has a pull tab at the back of the rider/drivers seat which lets you pull the back down into the valley that is cut out and that makes the seat look almost stock looking.
