tour pak differences

The older tour paks are made of fiberglass - the new ones are abs. The hinges changed styles in mid 1989. Can't remember what is different about them but there not interchangable unless you replace the whole thing. The locks were a key back then but are now barrel locks. Can't answer the detachable fit question but knowing Harley it probably won't work.

All the hardware will fit fine, just buy the right docking parts for your bike. You may have to use a spacer or small plate to level it out. I have a mid 80's tourpak that I have had on a few different bikes over the years, and it's on my 08 SG currently.
Big Blue is right on all accounts about the differences in style.

Thanks guys.
Do you have a pic of your set up on the bike by chance?

Yes, pics of the mounts would be great.
Was trying to decide whether or not to make a quick detach set up that uses the backrest mounts instead of the two up mount.
