In-dash after-market am/fm Sirius Receiver
I may be having second thoughts about installing an XM module in my '09 Ultra Classic. I've already got the XM module in case I decide to use it.
I already have Sirius satellite in my car and pickup and since Sirius and XM merged I thought was going to be able to have only one account with Sirius/XM. Unfortunately, that isn't going to happen because they are 2 different businesses when it come to customer accounts.
Has anyone mounted an in-dash am/fm Sirius receiver in their Ultra Classic? If so, how did it turn out and are there wire harness interface cables available for Ultra Classic system without splicing wires?
I don't want one of those DVD players or navigation.

Some of the folk like my self have added the XM receiver on the handle bar and used the aux. to paly it thru the stock radio. Most others I know have balked at the big money HD wanted for the module and installed a A Garmin 550 with the xm module.Though I have 3 xm accounts I move on reciever from the home to the bike to the boat to the truck etc.I pay flat $77 per yr. for service each and you can to just demand it.

I've had a Sirius account for some time. I didn't know that XM customers couldn't add Sirius equipment to their accounts. That's a shame. Seems like they're cutting off their noses to spite their faces!
I added a Sirius radio to my bike with the following parts.
FM Direct Adapter - http://shop.sirius.com/edealinv/serv...dParentID=7872
Motorcycle install kit - http://www.tss-radio.com/professiona...k1-p-4430.html
Sirius Starmate 5 radio head - http://www.tss-radio.com/sirius-star...k1-p-6042.html
The entire install process took me about 45 minutes and the system works great. It's not as clean as a factory install but it's not bad and I've been very pleased with the sound and quality.
Good luck with whatever you decide!
