Here's the problem though: Lots of crimes up to and including murder are being committed by the illegals, but the Feds don't want to take action. Now if one incident of a LEO profiling for an illegal comes out, you know the Feds will jump on it instantly.

I often ride through Az. That's why the thread interested me. Wanna discuss roads, weather, attitudes on the Navajo reservation, I'm there. Asking whether this law would affect a persons willingness to go there is asking "are you "boycotting" or supporting a controversial political move that Arizona made." I think a lot of us have an opinion, but I don't see how that applies to the Touring Forum. So you're right, I won't vote in the poll and can't vote in Az. So ya know, I will pass through at least a portion of Az. on my way to San Diego later this year. It's hard to avoid considering the geography, and being a well armed, blue eyed white boy I ain't scared of profiling.

It is not a new law it is about enforcing the existing law

# 1 Son just spent a week there. Said he had a great time seeing the sights!
If you are legal there isn't a problem!
Liberals just want more of the Hispanic vote!!!
Until there is a political will to do something, the problem will only get worse!!
My hat is off to them! Elect more Sheriff Joes!!!
So, NO it won't stop me from visiting or doing business with AZ!!!

Beautiful state, good people there, even most of the invaders are good people. Something needs to be done though, this is a start, love this area of teh US, lived in El Paso in the 80's, loved it, had a great time good food and people. Will swing through on my back from Alaska this July.

What part of "illegal" don't people understand? The new law allows local/state law enforcement to ask for ID when they have a lawful contact with an individual, if the individual is a witness to or victim of a crime there are provisions in the law that will prevent them from being immediately deported. The border is a federal responsiblity, but don't forget if Mexico could ever get the act together people would not be leaving there to come here, so don't entirely blame the US, blame the thrid world nation of Mexico and the rest of south America! It is not a race thing, it is a security issue!

That part about 'good food & good scenery' gets me every time!! LOL!!
Would love to see the high desert in the spring.

I have to say, this year with all of our rain and we needed it, the desert was the greenest I can remember and I have been here since "83". All the wild flowers and cactus blooming makes for great pictures. I just hope we do not have an out of control fire season because of it.
