Angry Expensive dumb sh*t lesson!

I thought I had my GPS secured (dashboard clip model). Drove off and about a block later I watched as it fell off and tumbled down the road. I pulled over and watched as at least one car ran it over. Touch screen cracked and not working.

Lesson: Give a tug and make sure.

I have contacted Garmin to see if repair is possible. Else I am hoping insurance might help.

Hindsight is 20/20..Shoulda did some research in these fourms to see what others are using. The topic is well covered. For your next GPS, I recomend the Ram Mount for whatever brand you get. I had a Megellan before the TomTom and I have the Ram Mount for both. Problem is the Megellan broke when I dropped it in the parking lot. I know where your comming from. These things are expensive these days!

Way back in the late 80s, I put got in my car and laid my radar detector on the top when I unlocked the door. The thin cost 150 bucks back then. about a block later it sounds like something bounced off my trunk lid. I realized what it was about 10 seconds later. I wend back and saw that I was the proud owner of several very thin radar detectors.
It sucks, but we have all done something stupid in our lives.
