Does anybody have v&h power duals? Are they as good as they look?

I did seriously look at these but changed my mind about headers at this point. I did contact vance and hines about these they say you will see a increase across the range not alot though. Your stock headers do a pretty good job at maintaing low end torque but at a price of over $400 for very little gain not worth it in my opinion but each to there own.

I really like mine, and they work wonders with this motor.

What motor are you thinking about putting em behind?

here is a reply from V/H regarding duals." If performance is what you want, then I strongly suggest to go with the Power Dual head pipes. They are a 2-1-2 system that incorporate the technology and performance of a 2-1 system....however you can keep your dual look. These head pipes provide awesome low and mid range performance. True dual head pipes are not really a performance orientated set up, they are intended mainly to reduce the heat the stock head pipes give off, and to have 50-50 exhaust flow from each side.

Heat shields leave something to be desired. Performance wise they are pretty good. I am not convinced that they are a huge performance gain over the 09 2:1:2 system.

I had them for a while, they help to produce a very good TQ curve, makes the factory header look cheap. Two other outfits did a pretty good job of coping the design so V&H must of did something right.

I installed them on my 2010 RG, I wanted the balanced look of the two mufflers. When I first saw them I was unsure if the huge "X" look where the pipes join was a good look. But now that they are on the bike, the "X" is not a focal point. I am happy with the pipe, I have never been a fan of the true duals, kinda loud for my liking.
