First off, YOU WILL NOT LOSE POWER, anywhere. Not low end, not mid-range, and not top end. If you're comparing to stock you will definitely GAIN POWER. It is true that true duals won't give you as much torque in the low end, but you will not lose anything over what you've currently got. That's a misconception that people keep spreading around, and it's just plain wrong. That being said, I've got Rineharts and love them. That's all I ever use on my bikes. But Bubs makes a great product as well, and the prices for Bubs are a lot cheaper than Rineharts. I don't think you could go wrong with either one of them.

Glad to see there's a few discussions on the 2010 FLHX 2-1 exhaust flowing around. I've always preferred the dual rear pipe look on a bagger & was shocked to see HD change this on the 10's. Even though my 2009 FLHX isn't a true-dual exhaust - still like the 2-1-2 exhaust layout vs. 2-1. I did go w/the Rinehart Racing slip's and had my entire exhaust system ceramic coated black to shed some heat. Enjoy the true duals!

I don't care for the looks of the 2010 v&h duals, anyone thought of getting some 2009 v&h true duals and just getting the o2 adapter and extenders that are starting to be offered?

I have the BUB 7 true duals--love them, sound, performance and looks--chrome with black tips. I went with the BUBs after lots of research-also decided on them because everyone and there mother has Rhineharts--just wanted something different.

Gotta say it again, my Rineharts are LOUD. When I crack it, it yelps for sure. Don't get me wrong.... I totally dig the sound and "audio visibility" I get, but, in my neighborhood, I lug the bike to quiet it. Around here there's stories of cops pulling bikes over for loud pipes. So I lug it when I see the cops too. Kind of a bummer for me cuz I like to crack it all the time!

Folks have posted Rineharts with the quiet baffles and the performance was poor. Just so you know. Do some research on this one.

I totally dig the Rineharts, but some rider discretion is warranted in my neck of the woods. At least I do..... I don't want to "screw the pooch"

BTW, 103" HD Stage III (manual compression valves)

A few words of caution for the exhaust on 2010's. Due to the change in O2 sensor size from 18mm to 12mm, aftermarket wideband tuners like the PCV w/ AutoTune and Thundermax will not work on 2010 pipes unless you use an O2 sensor adapter. If you go with HD's SERT, SEST, SEPST or whatever they call it and a dyno tune, then 12mm O2 sensors won't matter. luc.who saved me some money and precious waiting time after I asked him about his exhaust setup. His suggestion (which I followed) was to use pipes from 2009 if I wanted to use the PCV w/ AutoTune. You can also have 18mm O2 bungs welded on whatever pipes you use. I ordered the 2009 BUB 7 True Duals, Stage 1 air cleaner, and PCV w/ AutoTune from Fuel Moto. I went with the AutoTune because I'm an inherent tinker freak and I already see a set of cams in my future. If you're just changing pipes and air cleaner, then don't worry about the size of the O2 bungs because a PCV without AutoTune should work just fine. I'm still in Afghanistan and have about two weeks to go before I'm home on leave. I only have one shot at getting everything done and I can't make a mistake becuase waiting on shipping will screw me. Hopefully I will get everything mounted up and riding within a day or two of being home.
