Don't you hate when that happens. Something so simple and right in front of your eyes!

I don't have the 6th gear light problem but I'm curious. How is not having a 6th gear indicator, or for that matter, cruise control a safety issue? This is the first bike I've ever owned that had a 6th gear light or cruise control and I've never felt unsafe.

I have a 2010 FLHR and on occaisions mine does not come on when I shift to 6th, have really not worried too much about it though. I also have issues with other lights coming on when I get caught in a good down pour, water getting in somewhere. Not that, that has anything to do with what you were asking just figured I would throw it out there as well...
