Just wait until you ride it! I have no experience with the larger builds but the HQ 107 is stout! You made good decisions.

+1 My 103" was waiting on the pistons from CP which HQ received last Thursday. I'm hoping to get a tracking number any time.

It's been a rough spring watching all this nice weather go by here on the East coast.

Hey Ryan….

Don't worry, you scoot is in good hands!

I had hoped to get some stuff done last night, but was not able to. I was, however, able to get started tonight. I got in a nice 2 1/2 hrs work.

Here's a recap…

Getting started…. tank, seat, horn, & TB off first.

From the other side….

Nuthin like some powder coating left in the intake ports to flake off into the motor. Thanks, MoCo!

Pipe off….

Looks like the FatCat bracket bolts abandond'd ship at some point. Kinda messy under there.

Rocker boxes off….

Heads off…

Jugs off…

Pistons off…

Cam cover, gears, lifter covers, lifters, campmate, & cams off / out… There's Mr. Oil Pump.

Oil Pump out & sealed up. You can see the stock (crummy) INA inner cam bearings above the crank bearing boss. Those will be replaced with Torrington/Timkens.

And here she sits till next time… hopefully tomorrow evening.

I've gotta run the rocker boxes & covers over to a local Indy shop have have them clearanced for the new valve springs & cams. I used to do it with a Dremel, but it's so much cleaner & nicer done on a mill.

Ryan ~ I'll try to keep ya posted on on the progress….

BTW, The mess is from a cheap Drag clutch cable I had to use due to the Barrnett being on backorder when I installed the bars. It leaked at the fitting from day one!!!
