Default Must see towns on BRP

Finalizing trip on the BRP Staying 1 night in Front Royal for a fresh start on Skyline. Day two driving the entire length of skyline and 84 miles into BRP staying at Bedford Va. Day 3 onto blowing rocking via BRP. and day 4 into the smokies for 2 days and then 3 days home. Averages about 200 miles a day so should leave time to see stuff and not be rushed. What towns are must see to stop and kick around on a HISTORICAL main st?

I'm not going to be much help but have a great trip! I just moved from NC and loved riding the BRP. Maggy vally use to have a huge bike musium but I heard it might have moved. If you plan on riding the NC part get fuel often as I noticed it was a good ways off the parkway to get to fuel stations!

If history is what your looking for, I'd have to say Asheville. If you have not seen the Biltmore House that is a must see.

When you stop in Bedford, VA check out the National D-Day Memorial. Have a good trip.

Quick stop in Laurel Springs, NC, at the Station's Inn Motorcycle Resort for lunch or dinner is always a good idea! Right off the parkway.

I had the joy of doing this ride some years back. I find the BRP one of the best riding roads out there. However 200 miles a day is going to be a full day of riding. It was taking me fours hours to go 100 miles and I wasn't stopping that much. If you are going to be stopping at Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mt., Linville Falls, Folk Art near Asheville these places take some time to hike and sightsee. The speed limit on the BRP is 45, yeah you can push it, but you are going to have to exit off the Parkway to get gas and such. I guess what I am saying is that when I do it again I am going to plan on 100 miles a day and take time to really enjoy everything.

Good luck, it is truly a great ride with great sights.

If you pass by Asheville, check out the Biltmore house. That thing is huge, and a nice piece of history.
