RE: Finally...official HD response to SG brake squeal!
that Brake NOISE is Very Obnoxious!
my new 06 ultra does the BRAKE NOISE VERY LOUDLY!
won't a DIFFERENT set of Brake Pads fix that Noise?
how does swapping L/R rotors fix the noise?
the Cross Drilled Holes = that has nothing to do with THIS Brake Squealing noise.
this brake squeal is from the TYPE of Pad Material, vibrating on the rotor, at about ~ 15 KiloHertz frequency.
switching the rotors MIGHT stop the squealing for a while,
till the PADS get Seated to the swapped rotors. ( different direction).

RE: Finally...official HD response to SG brake squeal!
I have read several posts where someone has taken down the leading and trailing edge of the pads with a grinder. Just enough to taper the edge.
It seems to work. In fact, my wifes truck was doing the same, and I did this. Worked for 25k miles till the pads were worn out.
The high end replacements I bought were already tapered.

I have to agree 100% on the recommendation for the Lyndall brake pads. My brakes were squealing and also pulsing or surging on stops particularly in city driving where they would heat up.
The Lyndall pads alone removed all squeal (not returned in 3k mi) and about 80% of the pulsating.
worth the money. The dealer were I got my bike, 05 RKC, even stocks them.

RE: Finally...official HD response to SG brake squeal!
I don't know if I'm the only one that drives this way, but I hardly "ever" touch my front brake while moving. I down shift and then rear brake to stop when down to second and first. I may position my right foot on the rear brake to get the light action of the wig-wag going when at a higher gear, but don't start applying brake pressure untill second gear. And only hold the bike at an intersection with the front. This is for 99.8% of all my stops.
If I'm ever on the front brake when the bike is still moving, its the last to get a squeze in the panic stopping mode!
Do ya'll have the squealling with the rears?
Mine are quite as a mouse both fronts and rears.
