Yet another tire cupping thread
Ok - so we all know the front D407s on the early production 09's cupped pretty bad. We also know that the rears, regardless of what the MoCo says, seem to cup also when someone rides 2-up for more than, oh, 30 feet.
Has ANYONE been able to get their dealer to handle a replacement on the REAR tire?
I run them religiously at 40psi like im supposed. It is checked weekly. Only thing that has been an issue is my rear shocks are screwed up and being replaced under warranty. However, I'm being told "tough noogies" on the tire.

According to the dealer who is replacing them, the hydraulics are broke. No more detail than that. Ride has been utterly craptacular, constant bottoming out even when just solo. Air has been set anywhere from 20 to 50 PSI in the shocks.

My ride on my 09 rk is the worst ride ever on a street bike. bottoms- bounces- rough. got on my buddys 09 rk and it rides okay. ??
I got a new set of ohlins shocks but i do not have them adjusted yet.
my tires are all okay and my buddy's cupped all to hill. ? 10,000 miles
I had my air shocks from 8 to 28lbs. 22 seemed the best but that was rough. hard to tell if you are bottoming out or too stiff with air shocks- no way to guage the travel I know of.
