Default Closing the Gap on Ultra Seat

Has anyone ever used this part to hide the gap between the tank console and the seat on an Ultra? I know the description says it is for use with a Road King seat on Ultras and RGs, but I'm wondering why it wouldn't work with the stock Ultra seat. It just looks like a piece of leather that the stock seat nose would sit on.

should work just fine. It basically just bolts to the rear console hole. How much of a gap do you have? I know most of the Ultra seats cover the bottom inch or so of the console?

My 2007 CVO Ultra has the console p/n 77140-05. There is a good one and half inch gap between the bottom of the console and the front edge of the seat. It gets wider when you sit on the bike. Here is the link to the console I have on my bike.

Default Seat gap fix

I replaced stock seat with a Mustang solo and had the same gap with metal showing. I used thin sheet of rubber consistent with inner tube tire material - used zip ties to fasten.....looks like seat material.....

yeah, you have a standard console. That part will do what your looking for. I guess some seats are setup different then others, My dads CVO ultra seat comes up over the console about an inch. I feel like I am sitting on the gas tank when I ride his bike. I used the chrome filler on mine when I changed from the RK tank to EG tank and console until I put the street glide console on mine. seeing the overflow tubes and wiring drove me crazy

I have used the part on my 05 Ultra. I have a quick disconnect tour pack. When I take the tour pack off, I replace the sock seat with a Street Glide take-off I purchased on ebay. It go on in a minute with one screw and works perfectly to fill the gap. Looks just like the picture in the link you provided.

But, have you ever left the part on when you have the Ultra seat on? That is what I want to do. The gap that I have is with the stock Ultra seat, not a Road King or Street Glide seat.

I tried the HD leather filler on my 07 Ultra after I added a Reach seat and it did not fit correctly. It made the front of my seat stick up too high.

I found this chrome dash filler from Drag Specialties and it worked perfectly.

It's in the 2010 Fatbook. The part # is 22020070. Should fit your 07 UC.

I went with the tank bra on mine for the added protection. It fits and looks great.
