Cigarette plug on touring models
What do people use the cigarette lighter for on touring bikes, what accessories are most common?

I charged my cell phone and used an air pump for a camping mattress.

I hard-wired my GPS to the back of the cig/lighter
Don't imagine that I'll ever use the lighter

Most standard plugs will strike the tank if used on the roadway.
There are special flat 90 degree angle plugs that can be wired up the will clear the tank but they are getting difficult to find.
The best bet is get the Powerlet conversion and the 90 degree plug. Otherwise you risk damage to the tank.

Another vote for lighting up a doobie! Have also used to run a small aircompressor for the tires.
