I have the 550 also. Nice you can keep your gloves on when using it. Lot of features I don't need but worth it

I run the Zumo's also. The Nuvie's should work fine though. The 500 I think that is the model is waterproof but there is no MP3 player on it. You just need to check Garmins site for the options on the cheaper ones as some of them are limited route wise.

The one thing that I am unsure of with the newer 660 compared to the cheaper garmin units is the user interface. I have a 765 that I have mounted in the truck and it seems to require a lot more taps to navigate through the screens than my Zumo 450. Not that you should playing with the thing while your driving but it happens.

Thanks for all the feedback. It seems most prefer the Garmin systems so will go in that direction. Just need to decide features. Now if I can get all my tins back from the painter!!!

I have a Garmin 60 CSX. I tried the Nevo, but the sun and fingerprints made it unseeable at times. The 60CSX is waterproof trail version with a great map program. It has far more features they the wide screen gps's. And the best feature is: it doesn't talk to you.

Here is one of my longer days on my Coast to Coast trip of a lifetime.

another vote or user for the Zumo 550 here. I have used it from coast to coast for about three years. Love it, Just hate the ALL GPS route you sometime sometime. lways pay to have a pocket size atlas with you also, so you can know the basic route you want to go.

I have had the Zumo 450 and now the Zumo 660 sits on my Ultra bars, soon to be moved to the dash pad courtesy of the new 2010 Limited CVO Ultra! With this mount it will sit on the inner fairing just below the shield so it is more in the line of sight than the bar mount. Just waiting for the parts.
