Default What in-fairing antenna??

I am considiering either the Kuryakyn Tune Trapper or the Biketronics Hogtenna. Does anyone have any experience with either of these antenna's? If so how is the reception? and installation? Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar with the ones you mentioned but I have a J&M Flexpower that I am happy with. Simple install, powered amp and great signal so far but I have not been too far out away from civilization yet. I have heard that all hidden type are a compromise.

I purchased one from streetglidecota because it had some good reviews on this forum. Worked poorly in so. Ca. area. Have the stock one back on for now.

I have the 20 dollar one from autozone, it's simply a universal hidden powered antennae. It actually look the exact same as the one at the dealership($40), which i think was the hogtunes one. Works pretty good to me, but still not as good as the whip. Maybe it needs a bigger power booster. IMHO.

I've tried 3 different ones, none are worth a crap. The one from streetglidecota worked until I put an amp in. It was getting interference from the power source somehow.

I bought the passive hidden antenna from eBay for $21.95/free shipping. It was inexpensive and works OK. It is good for AM/FM and includes the Weather band. It does not require a ground. As a mater of fact the instructions state not to place it on metal. It is great for inside the fairing.

Here is the address for the eBay store.

I had a Tune Trapper, worked fine when the faring was off. Buttoned up didn't get reception fer poo. Used it as a paint stir. I went back to the whip.
