Thumbs up J&M 7 1/4" no amp needed. period

This is what I installed with my factory HD radio/cd. No amp. Just the 7 1/4" J&M speakers. They are super light due to their new speaker magnets they use. The kit comes with mounting spacers to move the speaker back into the roadglide fairing. Also some foam padding is included to mount inside the fairing for improved base tones. I was rocking down the hiway almost double the posted limit with the volume a hair over half and the sound was better than I expected. It's worth mentioning I have a stock windshield on my fltr and wear a shorty helmet

That's what I thought, when I bought the same set-up. SOLD it a month later, after hearing a few more bikes. I ended up with a Arc Mini amp and FOCAL 6 1/2" speakers. I can't beleive Hawg-wired can charge as much as they do for their stuff. It doesn't compare to what you can do with a $1000.00. It's definetly alot better than stock, don't get me wrong, but it's NOT a $1000.00 worth, that is forsure.

I agree with langhammx: I gave my 150 watt Hawg Wired (with matching speakers) system away, after I had it for a year. Biggest waist of $800 I ever spent.
