Default Replacing Clutch Cable Tips 09 StreetGlide

Do I have to remove exhaust? I've seen a few say they didn't have to. I've done several cable changes on choppers so I know how.

No, take off the heat shield and the bottom bolts will come out with a ball end allen wrench. Stiff snap ring inside, good snap ring pliers would help

As above and do it on the kick stand and you'll loose a minimal amout of fluid, just an ounce or two.

Cool thanks! I have all the tools just wanted to make sure it would clear exhaust.
I'm gonna park it on 2x6 wood to help it lean more to prevent fluid loss.

Push the bike wheels up onto 2x4 or 2x6 lumber each wheel and lean it way over onto the jiffy stand and barely a drop will come out. You will have to remove the outer fairing though.

if you tie a rope to the old cable you can use it to pull the new cable thru with out taking off the outer fairing!
